Methionine is an essential, sulfa-containing aminoacid not produced by the body. It has a number of pharmacological effects important for the treatment and management of a significant number of diseases, disorders and conditions of horses. It is hepato-protective, detoxifies the liver, is a liver insufficiency supportive treatment of liver disease (protection of the formation of free-radicals in tissues). DL-Acetyl Methionine is also a source of muscle energy, has wide distribution for 48-96 hours, and a laboratory animal study indicates Methionine and Glucosamine reduced symptoms of arthritis.
Horses, Cattle, Sheep, Goats and Pigs – 10 mL per 100 kg bodyweight
Dogs – 10 mL per 20 kg bodyweight
Cats – 1 mL/kg bodyweight Repeat after one week or as directed by a veterinarian.
