Product Information

  • Flea and tick control in a convenient, long lasting, easy-to-use collar
  • The collar has no odour and is non-greasy
  • Kills fleas and ticks - The collar should be worn continuously for the full protection period
  • The Seresto collars have two safety features in case of needing emergency release: a ratchet release mechanism and a manufactured breaking point, which will give way if your pet is trapped or snagged by their collar
  • The Seresto collar can be worn alongside your pet's normal collar - if making sure the Seresto collar is not prevented from making direct contact with your dog's skin/coat
  • Works through Sustained Release Technology - the active ingredients are released continuously from the collar in low concentrations; it then diffuses on the pet's skin/coat, through the natural skin lipid layer
  • Fleas don't have to bite to die - works through contact killing fleas
  • Prolonged intense exposure to water or shampooing should be avoided
  • Remains effective following shampoo treatment or after exposure to rain or sunlight
    • If shampooing the dog, it is recommended to use a soap free shampoo, and to bath the dog no more than once per month
    • In order to maintain an eight-month duration, dogs must not be bathed more than once per month.
  • Frequent shampooing or intense exposure to water (e.g. swimming) while wearing the collar -
    • may reduce efficacy against fleas (Ctenocephalides felis)
    • has been shown not to reduce efficacy against Brown Dog Tick (Rhipicephalus sanguineus)
    • has not been established what effect this has on the efficacy against Paralysis Tick (Ixodes holocyclus) or Bush Tick (Haemaphysalis longicornis)

Precautions

  • The safety of the product has not been established for pregnant and lactating bitches
  • Ticks already on the dog prior to treatment may not be killed immediately after the collar is put on and may remain attached – removal of ticks already on the dog is recommended
  • The risk of paralysis from Paralysis Tick (Ixodes holocyclus) cannot be entirely eliminated - daily searching for and removal of any ticks found is recommended

Side Effects

    • removal of the collar until symptoms have disappeared may be recommended
